Select FEPS capacity calculation method

1) When the NMD or NMS series is used for emergency lighting loads:

1 When the load is electronic ballast fluorescent lamp, FEPS capacity = electronic ballast fluorescent lamp power and × 1.1 times;

2 When the load is electronic ballast fluorescent lamp, FEPS capacity = electronic ballast fluorescent lamp power and × 1.5 times;

3 When the load is metal halide lamp or metal sodium lamp, FEPS capacity = total sum of metal halide lamp or metal sodium lamp × 1.6 times;

Note: The output power of each phase in the NMS series emergency power supply is only 1/3 of the nominal capacity of FEPS, and it is not too biased.

2) When using NMS series FEPS with mixed load

1 When FEPS has multiple motors and all are started, the capacity of FEPS should follow the following principles:

FEPS capacity = sum of power with variable frequency starter motor + sum of power with soft start motor × 2.5 times + sum of motor with star triangle start × 3 times + sum of direct start electric motor × 5 times.

2 When FEPS is equipped with multiple motors and each is started separately (not simultaneously), the capacity of FEPS should follow the following principles: FEPS capacity =

The sum of the individual motor powers, but the following conditions must be met:

● The maximum single motor power directly activated in the above motor is 1/7 of the FEPS capacity;

● The largest single motor power started by the star triangle is 1/4 of the FEPS capacity;

● The maximum single motor power of soft start is 1/3 of FEPS capacity;

● The maximum single motor power driven by the inverter is not greater than the FEPS capacity;

● If the above conditions are not met, the capacity of the FEPS should be adjusted according to the maximum number of the above conditions. The motor starting sequence should be the first of the direct start, followed by the start of the star triangle, then the restart of the soft start, and finally the frequency conversion. Startup restart.

3 When using NMS series FEPS with mixed load, the capacity of FEPS should follow the following principles:

● FEPS capacity = the sum of the total power of all loads, but the following conditions must be met. If not, the FEPS capacity is determined according to the largest capacity.

● The sum of the motor powers directly started simultaneously in the load is 1/7 of the FEPS capacity;

● The sum of the motor powers simultaneously activated by the star triangle in the load is 1/4 of the FEPS capacity;

● The sum of the motor powers in the load with the inverter starting and starting at the same time is not greater than the FEPS capacity;

● The sum of the equivalent powers of the motors simultaneously started is not greater than the FEPS capacity;

◆Electric power equivalent power = direct and simultaneous start of the total motor power × 5 times + star triangle and simultaneously start the sum of the total motor power × 3 times + soft start and simultaneously start the sum of electric power × 2.5 times + frequency conversion and start at the same time The sum of motor power.

◆ If the difference between the start-up time of the motor before and after is greater than 1 minute, it is not considered to be started at the same time.

◆ The sum of the equivalent powers of all loads (including non-electric loads) that are simultaneously started is greater than the FEPS capacity.

◆ The sum of the equivalent powers of all loads simultaneously started = the total power of the non-motor load simultaneously started × power factor + motor equivalent power.

3) When the NMS-P series is loaded

FEPS capacity = electric power capacity.

The FEPS capacity mentioned above refers to the nominal rated capacity (kVA) of FEPS.
